"...that I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, that by any means possible I may attain the resurrection from the dead."
Those are Paul's words in Philippians. I've been thinking about it this morning. Apparently Paul is saying is that the resurrection is something that we have to attain. My questions are then, what does this mean? and how do we do it?
Any thoughts?

isnt the power of his resurection being sinless so that death couldnt hold him. and so to become sinless and dying to your sinfull self and living without sin afterwards would attain it.
I'm not sure how much the resurrection has to do with sinlessness. That's not to say that it isn't important to strive for sinlessness. The resurrection certainly about life overcoming death. It's about being made new and rising from death with a new identity. Part of having a new identity is that we are no longer sinners, but we're partners with Christ in his life. So maybe it has more to do with sin than I thought. Do you like how I talked myself in a circle right there?
possibly it has to do with an ongoing resurrection...an ongoing rising from the old to the new, instead of a single act of resurrection. on some level i think we can say that there is one general resurrection. But maybe the beauty of the resurrection isn't just that it happened, but that it is happenin daily in the lives of those seeking to live the Way of Jesus, which is resurrected existence.
